About UDE

United Design Engineers, P.C. (UDE), is a minority owned, small
disadvantaged
business enterprise with headquarters in downtown Washington, D.C. and
Mitchelville, MD. Since its inception in 1988, UDE has become an integral part
of
the local A/E community and is recognized as a full service firm capable of
performing projects as Prime Consultant or Subcontractor. In addition to its
status
as a minority owned, disadvantaged business (MBE), the firm has recently been
certified as a participant in the 8(a) program of the U.S. Small Business
Administration
In all of our work in the fields of Civic/Structural Engineering, Surveying and
Construction Management, UDE and its principals have developed a well known
record throughout the professional community for providing professional services
of the highest standards to our clients' needs and concerns and our rigorous
program of Quality Assurance. Our Qualifications and experience, in conjunction
with our use of state-of-the-art equipment and programs combined with effective
quality control, enables us to provide the most comprehensive professional
services ON TIME and WITHIN BUDGET.
Each project is under the direct supervision of an active principal with a
primary responsibility of assuring our clients receive the professional, high
quality worksmanship they expect and deserve. Principals are involved from the
earliest stages of a project in order to establish technical design approach,
assign the appropriate staff, refine project goals and develop schedules and
associated
budgets. They take advantage of available computer technology by maximizing
their utilization for all aspects of a project including technical design,
drafting, field surveys, project management and scheduling, financial control,
word processing, information management and telecommunications.
Since 1988, UDE maintains a constantly increasing list of clients from
Government Agencies and Private Industry. Representative clients include the
Department of Defense, U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway
Administration, Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority, District of Columbia.
Private
clients include Hayes, Seay, Mattern & Mattern, Inc., Smoth, Hinchman & Grils
Architects, Wilbur Smooth Associates, HDR Engineering, Greiner, Inc., Dewberry &
Davis, Deleuw Parsons and Sverdrup Corporation.
